After creating your profile, you upload a photo of a government-issued ID together with a quick selfie holding a piece of paper with your Lovitro username and today's date. Our team manually reviews every submission (usually within 24 hours). Once verified, your profile gets the blue checkmark and is activated for browsing. We do not store the raw ID image after review — only the verification status.

Every member is verified by government ID before activation, so no one gets in without proving they are a real person. We also use device fingerprinting and behavioral signals to catch automation, and any member who reports suspicious activity gets a fast manual review. The result is a small but real community — no bots, no catfish, no scrapped photos pretending to be real members.

Yes. Authentication is handled by Clerk, an industry-leading identity platform. Your personal data is stored in encrypted databases with row-level security — meaning even our own systems can only access the data they specifically need. We never sell your data to third parties. IP addresses used for moderation are anonymized and stored only to prevent abuse. We follow GDPR and CCPA standards and give you full control over your data, including export and deletion on request.

Our discovery is location-based. When you open the Browse page, you see verified members in your city, ranked by a combination of verification status, profile completeness, recency, and member ratings. There is no pay-to-play tier and no boost system that artificially favors paying members — every verified member has an equal chance to be discovered.

Lovitro currently focuses on the US to keep moderation tight and the verification queue fast. Members from other countries can create a profile, but discovery is shown by city, so your profile is most visible to people in the city you set. We plan to expand to additional regions based on community demand.
